My 5 yr old daughter was given this game as a gift. At the party they opened it and played. All the kids had a blast. You draw cards and hop your bunnies from hole to hole. Someone may draw a spin the carrot card. They spin the carrot and a different hole opens up and someone’s bunny may fall under the hill. They can’t wait to spin and see if someone falls. It says age 5 and up but my three yr old plays with her sister. If they can count, they can play. Great fun!!

There really is no strategy to this game, and once you figure out where the hole is going to appear in the next spin (which my 5 year old can do) it is purely a question of luch who gets to the top first…. Nonetheless, my 5 year old adores it and hasn’t bored of it yet… Great box and materials.. it’s designed to last, unlike many games.ECL

My 5 year olds received this for a birthday gift. It’s a fun game and durable. Even the box it comes in is strong. It’s easy to play without spending much time reading the instructions. Ravensburger never disappoints!!

Grab your four bunnies and take off on the path to be the first to capture the carrot. Oops, it’s not that easy. Take your turn, pick a card and see if you advance 1, 2 or 3 spaces unless you get the “click the carrot” card. Then you get to turn the carrot until it clicks and the bottom drops out from under a space on the path. It’s a good thing that you have four bunnies in case you lose one through the hole. Believe it or not, kids love to pick the carrot card, even though they might lose a bunny and definitely don’t advance. It’s just plain fun to click that carrot and see who might drop off the game! Strategy comes into play when a risk-taker advances just one bunny while another child will play it safe and keep several bunnies on the path in case one is clicked off.
As a speech pathologist at Play on Words, I look for fun, engaging games, like Funny Bunny, to encourage lots of social language, as kids discuss strategy, cope with winning and losing, explain to others how to play the game and learn to take turns and negotiate.

My 5-year-old always asks to play games. I purchased a bunch of games and ended up returning most of them because they were boring or not made well. This one is great! It is durable, easy, and fun! Another good one is “Don’t Wake Up Daddy”.
