Pride and prejudice Soundtrack Part 4 of 5
“Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.” Jane Austen’s novel Pride and Prejudice (1813) has been the subject of numerous television and cinema adaptations. The story concerns courtship and marriage among the gentry of pre-industrial England, focusing on the pursuit of love vs. the pursuit of financial security and social status. This Academy Award-nominated version was produced by Working Title Films, directed by Joe Wright and based on a screenplay by Deborah Moggach. It was released on September 16, 2005 in the UK and on November 11, 2005 in the US. It was filmed entirely on location around the UK in the summer of 2004 and used several stately homes, including Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and Wilton House in Salisbury (as Pemberley), Groombridge Place in Kent (as Longbourn), Basildon Park in Berkshire (as Netherfield Park) and Burghley House in Lincolnshire (as Rosings – the adjacent town of Stamford served as Meryton). @cococahoo believe.. it’s no Pathetic… It’s inspirational… and, i have to say, I’m agree with you. This is my favorite love story movie.
Beautiful music, Beautiful actors and actresses, Beautiful story, Beautiful scenes, BEAUTIFUL MOVIE. One of the best, no doubt!
It doesn’t sound pathetic at all… Is good to keep a journal, helps you write better
@joshuahimself meee tooo! I loveee it! It’s perfect study music.
I absolutely loveeee the first song on this one. <3 It’s so sooothing.
Why is it that i could listen to this song for ever and still not grow tired of it ??
there are probably only two soundtracks that make me feel so… at ease as well as happy. this one and harry potter. haha… weird as that sounds, it’s true. sorry to bring up different movies. lol.
awesome
my heart feels like it will explode every time i hear these songs they fill me up with great emotions.
I believe that true love is out there. We just have to believe in it, for it to come true. There is no use in not believing in something because it doesn’t happen for some people, like Lydia and Wickham. If we want true love, we will have to go through some rocks before we find the feather. Besides. There are plenty more rocks then there are features. Hang in the crowd that you think you will find Mr. Right in. You will learn so much of yourself and what you truly want. Believe in yourself! ^_^
reality is there are still guys out there who are really special
those are probably the ones God has for each and one of us girls !
the piano part is really great.
Truly beautiful music…It always brings tears to my eyes and captivates my very soul. It is a masterpiece.
I don’t usually like these kind of movies but this one was pretty good and the soundtrack was exceptional. But like someone else said in here, this is borderline fantasy and taking these notions of romanticism too closely to heart is not healthy. For those of you looking for Mr. Darcy, you’re not going to find him. But if you’re realistic and not unreasonable with your standards there are plenty of people out there who would make a good life partner.
@AutumnMW i totalllllllllllly agree… i close my eyes and im there!!
@avephoeinix I don’t think any of us believe life was perfect back then. I truly do believe that we can find our Mr. Darcys. He may not be filthy rich or as gorgeous as Mr. MacFadyen, but we can find him all the same. Love has always existed, and I hope it always will. This is just one love story of many. Ours is being thought out already, and we just have to wait. This is coming from someone who never used to believe in love.
the quote in the information box is my favourite.
@avephoeinix true…bad its not bad to dream!!!
You are too generous to trifle with me. If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once. My affections and wishes are unchanged, but one word from you will silence me on this subject forever. -Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth
the best romantic book ever.
@avephoeinix thats not really logical. pride and prejudice is practically a fantasy, with a classic fairy-tale ending. men were no more faithful back then they are now, and since nearly all marriages were arranged, there was little chance of finding true love. the lydias and wickhams of the world existed then and exist now. All these cheesy chick-flicks don’t help either. The first step to finding a romantic partner could be to stop glamorizing the past.
@emmacallighan all the music was written for the movie by Dario Marianelli, all of it! Wow! I don’t know if there’s sheet ,music for it, try web search. . .
This is the best love story i have ever read and seen, I know i will love this movie and book forever <3
