I want something that will pop up large and fluffy. The stuff I’ve been using pops some pretty small kernels.

I like Orville Reddenbacher. I’ve always had good results from his. I even have to use less to get the same results in popped volume as with other brands. I tried Jolly Time and measured out 1/2 cup. But with Orville’s I use only 1/3 cup to yield about 4 quarts of popped corn.

jiffy pop
According to Consumer Reports its Jiffy Pop! You get more popped corn and less waste than other brands. Buy the Jiffy Pop in the jars for best results.
I went back to Jiffy Pop when they started talking about carcinogens in microwaved popped corn. (I think it came from the butter flavoring.)
I eat popcorn at least 3 times /wk and ONLY use Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet Popping Corn. I pop it in Butter Flavor Crisco. Be sure to tilt the lid just a little during popping to allow steam to escape. This keeps the popcorn tender and lets the kernels pop real big. Sprinkle with butter flavored popcorn salt & mix it in, then add some melted butter or margarine & mix it in. Enjoy!
