Stupid neighbor kids always try to cut though here. We installed these trellises to try to keep them from being able to cut through but they ripped up the right one the other day. I am going to install some metal trellises and embellish with barbed wire or something.

(of course, I know it was a freak accident, but this stingray took the life of one of the greatest animal activists of our time )

The Bull Ray is not a stupid jerkhole species. The creature was merely defending itself against threatening behaviour – these rays are preyed upon by sharks, so it is not surprising that they will take up a defensive posture when approached by a large object. Experienced divers know that you NEVER swim over the top of a Bull Ray. Whatever happened down there, it was certainly not the stingray’s fault – these creatures NEVER initiate aggresion, they are in fact extremely timid.

I haven’t heard the exact details of how he died, but it is truly a loss to the world. We’ll miss you steve! (and I am sure he would be the first to say it wasn’t the ray’s fault)
Actually more than the Sting Ray being stupid, it was Steve who was stupid and those shows also. First we invade the habitats of these creatures and then you expect so called "civilized" behaviour from them!!
