I have to disagree with some of your points. Yes, there is a lot of chaff in the article marketing directories. Yes, there are a lot of people who can't write submitting drivel to article directories. But that doesn't mean that writers can't use them, too. Posting to article directories has more than one purpose ... it can be used for off page SEO, which is a very good use. I am a writer ... even have a Master's degree in Journalism, and I use article marketing to help increase traffic to my blogs. It all depend on your goals, how you end up using article marketing.
